HTG-680GBD Concrete Polishing in Western Australia

A recent concrete polishing project in Western Australia showcases the jobsite performance of the HTG-680GBD.

Working across an exposed-aggregate concrete surface, the machine supported a controlled polishing process and helped produce a smooth, refined finish with clear aggregate exposure and visible surface reflection.

The feedback from the customer was simple:

“Very nice machine.”

Gear Bi-Directional Performance on the Job

The HTG-680GBD features HTG’s Gear Bi-Directional technology, allowing the operating direction between the gearbox and grinding plates to be adjusted according to the application.

The system can operate in the same or counter-rotating direction, giving contractors greater flexibility when adjusting cutting performance, floor flatness and the final finish.

For this project, the gear-driven system provided stable and controlled performance throughout the concrete polishing process.

Built for Professional Grinding and Polishing

With a rated input power of 12.8 kW, a 678 mm grinding width and three grinding discs, the HTG-680GBD is designed for medium- to large-scale concrete grinding, surface preparation and polishing projects.

The machine can be operated by remote control or in walk-behind mode, allowing contractors to select the most suitable operating method for different jobsite conditions.

Its two-motor drive technology and gear-driven system help provide:

• Stable grinding performance

• Controlled and consistent cutting

• Flexible adjustment for different floor finishes

• Efficient operation across larger concrete areas

• Reliable performance for both grinding and polishing

A Refined Exposed-Aggregate Finish

The completed surface shows a clear and evenly exposed aggregate pattern, together with a smooth and reflective finish.

Achieving this type of result requires more than shine. The grinding and polishing process must maintain consistent contact with the floor while controlling the depth of cut across the working area.

The HTG-680GBD gives professional contractors the control needed to adapt the machine to different concrete conditions and desired finishes.
